Kids Art Workshop Spring 2018 ( October)

Classes will run during the  second week of the State school holidays. 


Tuesday October 2 : Marc Chagall ( surrealism,paint, collage, pastel, mixed media)

Wednesday October 3 : Van Gogh ( paint, pastel, collage)

Thursday October 4 : Escher ( tessellation and drawing



Kids holiday workshops are themed with a famous artist, movement or technique. We will learn a little art history and get a really good grounding in the media and concepts employed by the theme artist(s). Everyone goes home with one or two finished pieces. If your child doesn't know anyone they soon will. Classes are relaxed and fun. Class size is maximum 8. Strictly kids ages 7 and up are most suited to our classes. We have two tutors for each day.


Class runs from 9.30 am til 3.00 pm

All materials are provided

Class size is limited to 8/9

Class fee is $70 per child per day

All you bring is morning tea, lunch and water to drink.

Please wear old clothes.

Marc Chagall

Tuesday October 2 : Chagall was a famous artist whose dream inspired surrealist paintings will be our inspiration for this workshop. We will be drawing then working in paint and pastel. We will also be looking at Chagall's beautiful stained glass and making art inspired by them.

Wednesday October 3 : Vincent van Gogh

Van Gogh is one of the worlds most famous artists. We will be using  a range of approaches to make art inspired this amazing artist. Paint, collage, pastel and mixed media will be used.

Thursday October 4

Escher

Escher made amazing drawing and paintings using maths and illusion. Best known for his endless staircase drawings we will be exploring Escher's  tessellations which strongly link maths and art to make intricate designs. We will be working is paint, pencil, collage and pencil
